Everyone has a story to tell. Behind every book my publishing team and I produce is an inspiring tale of how that book become ideas and inspiration on paper or screen. The story of our own lives and the many stories within our lives are so often more compelling than the very best fiction or movie.
Publish your story--write it, speak it. New to the writing process? Enroll in a class through your local community college. Find a writing coach who will help motivate you to move forward. Speak into a recorder, then engage a transcriber who will listen to your every word and bring them back to you.
We hunger for stories. Our own stories are our legacy to our children and grandchildren. They may not be interested now, but your published story will be "the gift that keeps on giving" to them later.
Perhaps 2014 is the year to begin writing the story of your life. When, if not not now?
Stories nurture our connection to place and to each other....They remind us of how to be human....When we lose stories, our understanding of the world is less rich, less true. ~Susan J. Tweit, Walking Nature Home: A Life's Journey
